Our leadership team ...

  • Barry Larson, MSW, is the founder of Bridges and has guided the company's growth and development for over two decades. He has devoted his career to helping individuals with disabilities live productive lives in the community. In 2000 Barry was honored by the St. Louis Chapter of the Brain Injury Association of Missouri with its' annual Award for Clinical Excellence.


  • Timothy Imhoff, M.A., is the President of Bridges of Missouri. Tim is a Speech Pathologist who has worked in the field of neurorehabilitation for over 25 years. This includes work as a therapist, university teacher, rehabilitation program director and corporate officer. Tim served as President of the Brain Injury Association of Missouri from 1998 to 2001 and then was elected to the National Board of Directors of the Brain Injury Association of America.


  • Tere Owens, M.S.W., L.C.S.W., is the Director of Counseling and Behavior Therapy Services at Bridges. Tere has been in this position since 1995 and has been a therapist for over 18 years. Tere holds a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Missouri – Columbia. She completed the Certificate Programs in Family and Marital Therapy from Washington University and Family and Grief Facilitation from the Academy of Grief and Bereavement. Tere has been active in the National Association of Social Workers, the Advisory Board of Pathways to Independence, the Learning Disability Association, the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill, the National Association for Dual Diagnosis and the Brain Injury Association of Missouri. She has been a recipient of the Robiner Award. Tere has many interests, including traveling, exercising, hiking, gardening, arts and crafts, reading and spending time at her cabin in the woods with her husband, son and Labrador retriever.


  • Kelly Tiefenbrun, M.S.W., Co-Directs Bridges. Kelly began her career working with men and women with disabilities as a volunteer camp counselor in the Arbuckle Mountains of Oklahoma. She attended college at California State University at Chico in the 1970’s and completed her Masters Degree in Social Work at Washington University in 1981. Kelly has worked for Bridges for over 18 years and reports that she has loved nearly every minute of it!
  • Michelle (Ott) Tindira, M.A. Michelle became Bridges' Director of Supported Living in March of 2007. She had been in private practice as a Rehabilitation Counselor, Behavior Therapist, QMRP and prior to that worked as a Service Coordinator for the Missouri Department of Mental Health and before that in direct care. Michelle has Masters degrees in Rehab Counseling, Criminology and a Bachelor's degree in psychology. Michelle brings tremendous vitality, fun and a committment that each client gets their needs met in an environmet of kindness and respect.
